This page is designed to help you easily navigate your way round the Fit LAB Together Alone Online Workout Group.
It is updated based on questions raised by exisiting members and will hopefully resolve any issues or queries you may have.
LIVE Workouts will appear in the group upto 5 minutes before the timetable start time.
You may receive a notification telling you that the instructor is live, in which case this will take you straight to the video.
Alternatively, the live video will show in the thread in the Fit LAB Together alone Group.
It is useful to sort posts into 'most recent' and you MUST regularly refresh the page whilst waiting for the class to start. These two functions are shown in the video above.
The large majority of LIVE workouts will be saved in the group for access later.
Saved workouts are stored by class category in the 'topics' section of the Fit LAB Together Alone Group as shown in the short video above.
COMMENT THREAD
It is nice to see your fellow participants commenting as they join the live session, however, once the workout begins, the comments can restrict your view. You can turn off the comments as shown in the video above.
LANDSCAPE OR PORTRAIT
Depending on what class is being taught, some instructors may record the videos in landscape. If you are watching on a phone or tablet and the video is not filling the full screen you need to rotate your device (ensure that your screen is not locked to enable rotation).
SOUND
Ensure that the sound on your device is turned up to the desired level. Depending on your device, you may wish to add a Bluetooth speaker for added volume.
If you have a Smart TV you may be able to 'cast' or 'airplay' your video from your device.
When you start your video, if you see one of the symbols in the picture above at the top right of the video, this should allow you to connect to your smart TV.
Some devices/TV.s will connect automatically, for others you may receive a code on either your TV or device which you need to enter into the other to connect them.
What you will need: A HDMI cable and an adaptor cable (you may need a different adaptor if you are not using an iPhone, for example a HDMI to USB adaptor may be required for laptops)
Set up: Nearly all smartphones and tablets can plug into an HDMI-ready TV. One cable end of HDMI plugs into adaptor cable, adaptor plugs into your phone or tablet while the other end of the HDMI cable plugs into the HDMI port on your TV. Once connected, whatever you display on your phone will also show up on your TV.
When using Facebook it is recommend that you use the Facebook App.
If you are experiencing connection issues and nobody else is commenting on problems with a particular workout video then it is likely that the connection issue is at the receiving end.
Any trouble with watching videos can be caused by slow internet connections, an interrupted connection to your home network or your device may need updating or refreshing.
It is good practice to regularly clear your web history & data on your device and ensure that you do not have the page open more than once.
If there is a problem with the Live session caused by the instructors internet this is highlighted to the instructor on screen and the session will stop. The instructor will start a new live session ASAP (this is a very rare occurance).
